Let us help you choose from shared hosting, VPS, a dedicated server, or one of the other many types of hosting.  A shared server is probably among the cheapest options, because it puts your website on a server with anywhere from 1 other site, to 1,000 others.  This still allows for many services and customization options, but not as many as say, a dedicated server.  A dedicated server places your website on its own server, allowing you full customization, and a number of service options just for you.  The benefit or a VPS is that, as a virtualized server, many of these VPS’s can be placed on one actual server, while still giving you a lot of control over your website.  Also, virtualized servers can be moved between actual servers for ease-of-access.
